Welcome back to another month in our 2025 Temperature/Sampler Blanket Crochet Along! Can you believe we’re already in September? This month, we’re featuring a stitch that looks simple at first glance but creates such a fun, textured effect—the Slip Stitch Ridge Stitch.
In some books, like Beginner's Guide: 19 Crochet Stitches & Easy Projects, you’ll see it listed simply as the “slip stitch.” But when we work it up in rows, it transforms into these neat little ridges that give our blanket a subtle but beautiful texture.

Your answers are my favorite part of this CAL because it’s so fun to see how everyone’s blankets are turning out differently based on location and personal yarn choices.
