If you’re looking for a quick, practical crochet project that works up beautifully every single time, this V-Stitch Soap Sack is such a fun one to make. It’s a perfect stash buster, it looks cute in any yarn, and it’s super useful whether you’re keeping it, gifting it, or donating it.
You can make one in under an hour, and the simple repeat makes it a great project for advanced beginners who want something relaxing but still a little more interesting than just single crochet.
Why You’ll Love This Pattern

Rnd 3:
Ch 3 (counts as first dc). Dc between the first 2 stitches of the round below. Make 2 dc between each V-stitch from the row below. Each 2-dc group is a V-stitch.

Rnds 4–9:
Repeat Rnd 3.

Strap
Ch 50. Tie off, leaving a long tail.

Weave the strap in and out of the ch-1 spaces from Rnd 10, making sure both ends come out of the same side of the soap sack. Tie the two ends together, weave in the tails, and rotate the strap so the knot is hidden inside the sack.

Weave in remaining ends and your project is complete!
