Hey guys!
Today I’m excited to share a super quick and satisfying crochet project with you — the Easy Braided Soap Sack. This little cutie works up fast, looks adorable in cotton yarn, and makes an incredible gift or donation item. If you’re looking for a simple handmade project with a lot of purpose behind it, this one checks all the boxes.
Soap sacks are great because they help keep your bar of soap clean, off the ground, and contained. They also extend the life of your soap AND add a gentle exfoliation. Whether you’re donating these to charity, adding them to spa gift sets, or keeping one in every bathroom, they’re so practical and fun to make.
I’ll be hosting a Soap Sack Campaign with the S.A.C.K. Foundation from the end of November through the end of December — and this project is a perfect option if you’d like to participate. (But feel free to use any soap sack pattern you love!)
Let’s get started! 💛

Cut your yarn leaving a long enough tail to weave in your ends.
Tie off your work and weave in your ends.
DRAWSTRING -
Ch 50
Cut your yarn leaving a long enough tail to weave in your ends.
Tie off but DO NOT tie ends together yet.

Weave the drawstring in and out of ch-1 spaces around Rnd 11 stopping with both ends of the
drawstring sticking outside of the soap sack.
Tie the two tail ends together. Weave in your ends.
If you would like you can turn the chain so that the ends you just wove in are now in the soap sack hiding.
Project Complete!
✅ CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Your finished soap sack can be washed in warm water with your regular laundry. Lay flat or hang to dry. Cotton softens beautifully with use!
