Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Slip Stitch (sl st)

Make 2 panels.
Foundation: Ch 31
Row 1: Hdc in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next ch. *Hdc in next ch, sl st in next ch*;
repeat from * to *across, ending with sl st. (30 sts)
Row 2: Ch 2 (counts as first hdc), turn. *Sl st in top of hdc, hdc in top of sl st*;
repeat from *to* across, ending with sl st. (30 sts)
Rows 3–30: Repeat Row 2. Do not tie off after Row 30.
Border (for individual sections):
Ch 1, turn. Sc across.
3 sc in the corner (1 to finish the side, 1 for the corner, 1 to begin the next side).
Rotate and sc evenly down the side (30 sts).
Repeat 3 sc in each corner, rotating around.
Sl st to join at the final corner.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Repeat for both panels.
Joining the Two Panels:
Place panels together, right sides out.
Insert hook through middle stitch of one corner through both layers.
Ch 1, sc around through both layers to join.
Sl st to first sc to close.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
